brand new install of MCRS ontop of brand new windows install

Greetings,
I have recently purchased MCRS 3.2 and scratch built a fresh windows install on which to run it, with previously working hardware. I cannot log audio, or even start the program without recieving the following popup error:

Access violation at address 004f56e6 in module 'mcrs.exe'. Read of address 0000006e

Program is nonfunctional, and is not yet worth the money i spent on it.

What Windows version you have? Please make sure that you have latest version of DirectX.
