I just down load the i-sound free trial to try it out. It recorded but I have to turn the volume on my mixer to the max for it to be able to record. Can anyone tell me why and how to correct it? My sound card is M-audio.

Actual recording level depends from playback level too, please increase playback level during recording.
Another suggestion: some sound cards may have additional volume controls, for example Creative's sound cards
may have one "Master Record" control and seperate controls for each inputs like "Stereo Mix", "Line In"....
