mp3 encoding

Post by cityhall » Tue May 31, 2011 12:49 am

I've been testing out the MCRS programme.
when encoding an mp3 can you please add another option to "encode on the fly".

In hte current version of the program (which is great by the way) if you select mp3 as the file type to be saved, it actually saves a wave and then converts that to an mp3, e.g. at the top of every hour.

I often need audio ASAP, and a half finished wave is too large/slow to send over the web so if you could save as an mp3 on the fly as an option it would be great.... radiologger does that

Real-time encoding may be used only for single audio stream. Multi-channel recorder may produce very high CPU usage.
