Re: Howdy/mp3 settings

Seriously, there is a separate forum thread for the WaveCut Audio Editor.
You have been interested in the question about the checksum for years, but you asked it last month, why? You can Google the answer in 5 seconds.

Re: Peak normalization

We added the Limiter effect to the latest version of the editor. Use it carefully, because it can worsen the sharpness of the sound.

Re: Howdy/mp3 settings

This topic has nothing to do with WaveCut. Regarding the checksum, I already emailed you back. It is used to check the integrity of the data.

Re: JIT Mode: Error en comando cd/

The forward slash / is reserved for the /D command line switch in our compiler.
Use the backslash \ as a workaround while we fix the bug.

Re: How do I edit the audio track of a video file?

In general, we do not support the idea of loading video files into the sound editor. Any editing would cause audio and video to be out of sync. Re: M4A support

There is a problem with the system AAC encoder, it only supports 44100 and 48000Hz sampling rates. Since the recorder supports frequencies up to 192000Hz this is obviously not enough.

Re: Scheduler improvements

We plan to switch to a CRON-like version of the scheduler, which will specify any event variants instead of fixed intervals. We face two problems here - we need to ensure compatibility with the old scheduler and make the editing of CRON parameters more user-friendly. I suspect that not all users wil...

Re: Add AAC encoder

Actually, the difference between MP3/OGG and AAC is not so significant, but we understand that this format is becoming more popular. We will add one of the options - raw AAC or M4A/AAC.

Re: Formant correction?

We are working on the new version that will support formant shifting. The main problem is that it greatly increases the amount of computation and is ill-suited for real-time processing. On the other hand, the sound will be much more natural.
