Exporting Sound Files

I am currently evaluating MCRS as a full-time solution for continuous, multi-channel recording.
I was wondering if it was possible to export sound files containing events that occurred between two given times. For example, MCRS is continuously recording VHF radio transmissions at a particular frequency. I can go back to the MCRS Recordings Browser to see a list of files, but I can only export one at a time. Events sometimes occur over two files, so I need to manually splice them together, extract the event, and figure out (from the time the first file started) when the event began. This is a time-consuming process, and it would be great if you could make it easy.
The easiest way to implement this would be to allow multiple recordings to be spliced together in the MCRS Recordings browser, and exported under one file name. (Bonus: It would be great if the file were time-stamped with the time the first file was recorded.)
I'm not the only person who has needed a feature like this [link].
I'd appreciate any advice you might have to offer. Am I simply missing a feature/setting that is already in the software?
