Shareware version

Post by gdgreen1 »

I'm trying to use the shareware version of the recorder to see if it's going to do what I want. I basically want to record internet streams. So far no luck. The volume is barely there and it's very tinny. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong and wondering if it's because of the shareware version. My recording device says SigmaTel Audio and the recording source is Line in. I've played with the filter levels somewhat and had no luck. I'm ready to buy the software if I had confidence I could make work. Any ideas?

This is a well-known problem with Sigmatel Audio card. Please read this article: http://www.ekhoury.com/2006/08/25/sigma ... for-dells/

notebook only

The drivers that return in the search are only for notebooks and I have a desktop. Any other option or do I need to replace my sound card?

This is not important, almost all laptops and desktops uses same audio chips from Sigmatel.
