Recordings Split

Post by millers@lls.edu »

Under 'Settings', 'Recordings', the maximum setting is 3 Hours. In our facility it would serve our purpose best if we could record 5 hour blocks before splitting. Is this a possibility?

Splitting interval limited by 3 hours due 2Gb limit per audio file.

What does the 'Align splitter with time of day' function do? How does that work?

It will align splitter time to 0, 15, 30 and 45 minutes.
For example, you start recording at 7:43 and select 1 hour interval
you will get:

7:43 - 8:00
8:00 - 9:00

Is it possible to write a version of MCRS that records directly to .mp3 format and not compressed after the fact?

MP3 encoder doesn't support multithreading, so it can compress only one channel at a same time.
