I have 7.1 sound card. Can I record 8 channels with it?
Answer:
No. Your sound card supports the 7.1 format for playback only, and can only record in stereo or mono.
Can I record streaming audio with MCRS?
Answer:
Yes, you can, but MCRS is designed to record audio from external sources. Our streaming audio recorder will works much more better.
How I can record 4 channels?
Answer:
The simpler solution - use the onboard sound card and an inexpensive PCI or USB sound card. In this case you will have 4 mono channels or 2 stereo channels.
How I can connect two microphones to the sound card?
Answer:
Most sound cards only support mono for the "Microphone" input, so you should connect two microphones to the "Line-In" jack using a Y cable.
How long can the MCRS record continuously?
Answer:
The actual recording time is limited only by available hard disk space. MCRS will split the recording if the file size exceeds 2 GB to ensure compatibility with different programs and file systems. To avoid data loss when transitioning between two files, it is possible to use overlapping.
Does it work with ASIO driver?
Answer:
Yes, since version 4.x it supports WDM and ASIO drivers.
Can I upgrade MCRS to get more recording channels?
Answer:
Yes, you only pay the difference in price.
Is it compatible with Audinate Dante Audio Networking?
Answer:
Yes, it was tested with Dante Virtual Soundcard. We recommend ASIO version for better performance.
I installed the new version, but it can't see my old recordings. How do I get them back?
Answer:
To migrate from version 3.x to version 4.x, the installation package contains the Migration Assistant. Run it and wait for it to complete.
Does it support more than one ASIO interface at a time?
Answer:
There are a few companies that produce audio interfaces that allow you to work with more than one ASIO interface at a time. Otherwise you will need cards from different manufacturers. Another option is to use the universal ASIO4ALL driver.
Can I use ASIO in VDM version simultaneously on one computer?
Answer:
In most cases this will lead to problems because two different drivers will control the same sound card. For this reason, running two copies at the same time is blocked.
