I tried to extract audio tracks from hundreds of video clips and was surprised to find that most converters have big problems with it. For example, ApowerSoft Video Converter couldn't even add all the video files to the conversion list and hung up. After an hour of waiting I had to close it via Task Manager. The interface of other converters appeared to be too slow, it seems that they were developed for MacOS and poorly adapted to Windows.
Video to audio converter from Abyssmedia is probably not as pretty as the others, but it is very fast and responsive. I did not find any ads inside, so I can safely recommend it to everyone.
Developers asked me to leave feedback on their program. They added the functionality I asked for and for that alone I'm willing to give 5 points. Video Converter works, never crashed or froze. If it will be able to extract the audio track without extra conversion, that's all I need.
I don't know much about converting video files and chose the first free converter I came across. I just added video clips and clicked the Convert button without changing any settings. The resulting mp3 files sound just like the original, so I'm satisfied with the quality. The main disadvantage is that they are converted one by one, although I have a modern multi-core processor. However, for a free program, this is forgivable.
The program does not have many settings and does not support many formats. That's what makes it good. Threw the video files into the list and got the usual MP3s.
